Walkers River Camp – (4-6 nights)
Double en-suite chalets, with indoor baths, outdoor showers and fan en-closed mosquito nets.
Enjoy the privacy of having your own camp for you and your group or family.
Do game drives the way it suites you.
Give yourself a great opportunity to see only natural white lions in the world.
This option would see you staying at Walkers River Camp, in the Timbavati Game Reserve, Greater Kruger National Park. The optional stay here would be for 4 to 6 nights, however you are very welcome to stay longer should the camp be available. The camp caters for a max group size of 10 people, however a group of 8 or 6 people would make things a lot more comfortable whilst on your game drives, especially for travelers that are into their photography.
Walkers is a self-catering camp, however we take the nuisance of that away from you, as we will be doing the catering for you. We would be in touch either via Skype or email, and will establish what you want to drink and eat, and what you don’t, and so then we will do the shopping accordingly.
This really is the best way to enjoy your time in the bush with your loved ones and friends, as having the camp to yourselves, you don’t have to worry about interrupting any other travelers, so make for a great family type safari. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and it also gives us the opportunity to enjoy sightings we want without having the pressure of other vehicles. However we do have a good working relationship with the neighboring camps, and so it’s nice to share sightings, as this makes better game viewing for all.
Walkers & Rock Fig Camps (6-8 nights)
This option would see you staying at 2 different private camps (Walkers River Camp & Rock Fig Safari Lodge), over a period of 6 – 8 nights. That would work out to a combination of 3 or 4 nights at each camp. Once again should your budget, time and camp availability be on your side, then we can always arrange for a longer stay.
Once again this would be a self-catering option at both camps, that we would take care of. However Rock Fig camp can only accommodate a max group of 8 people, so this option would be limited to a group of 8. This camp has lovely air-conditioned rooms, with a great swimming pool that overlooks the Zebenine dry river bed that is in front of the camp, as well a great barbeque spot with same view. The waterhole across from the camp, makes for some great game viewing whilst relaxing in camp.
This really is a great option for those who have a slightly bigger budget and are wanting to make the most of their time in the African bush. These two camps will be able to offer you a variety of scenery, as well as great opportunities to possibly see white lions, as well some great Leopard sightings.
Enjoy your safari here, which is not bound to any schedules, giving you maximum time to relax and do the safari the way it pleases you. Give yourself the chance to sit around a camp fire every night, with a cold beverage talking about the day’s events, and listening to nocturnal life coming alive!
